President of Investment Sales & Partner

George’s roots with Capstone go back to the company’s inception as he provided the initial start-up capital to launch the firm in August of 2008. Today, as Partner and Director of Business Development he’s focused on the company’s national expansion and new product development.

George’s professional journey is a unique one as his experiences range from over a decade on Wall St, to being a full-fledged entrepreneur as well as an accomplished distance runner.

George began his career in 2003 with Merrill Lynch in Princeton, NJ. Over the next 11-years he climbed from the mutual fund sales desk to covering all capital markets new issuance & derivative sales at 4 World Financial Center to running Merrill’s northeast Structured Investments group, which he grew to over $1.1 billion in annual gross sales.

George left the corporate world and moved to San Diego in 2015. Over the next five years he built out a diversified portfolio of small business interests in the hospitality, fitness, entertainment, and consumer products space. Some winners, some losers, one exit. Many crazy stories and lessons learned.

George also attacked endurance sports during this time finishing over 40-marathons, 17-100+ milers on all seven continents, and completed a 3,006-mile solo transcontinental run across America in 93-days. Using his distance running as a platform to drive awareness towards personal causes he has raised over $500k to date, passionately focused on veteran’s issues and children’s growth disorders.

George always says life is about two things—relationships & experiences—doing memorable things with the people you love. He couldn’t be more excited to dig in on this next chapter with the Capstone family.

Education: Bachelor of Science with a major in Finance from the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
