  • 2-3 years of sales experience, real estate preferred
  • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal and non-verbal (the ability to “read” people and anticipate unspoken needs is hard to teach, but very important in this business)
  • An engaging personality who can work with a variety of people, conduct meetings with clients, and build rapport with prospects
  • Sense of urgency and natural ability to triage emergencies
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks (because much is going on at any one given time)
  • Highest level of ethics and true commitment to always do the right thing
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—as a contingent fee business, there is no guaranteed salary and there is rarely someone telling you exactly what to do
  • The ability to close a long sales process
  • Understanding of financial data
  • Basic computing skills, specifically MS Office
  • Professionalism, drive, and eagerness to learn

Core Responsibilities

  • Sell existing assets in the multi-family industry (market rate, affordable, and student housing), development sites, and manufactured housing
  • Call on potential clients and prospect new relationships
  • Extend the well-established and respected Capstone brand and culture
  • Underwrite assets and understand cash flow models
  • Proofread content for client deliverables
  • Oversee brokerage transaction needs
  • Consistently demonstrate the application of company values in all business interactions

Compensation

  • Competitive commission package
  • Full commissioned brokers typically take home $200,000+ annually
  • Bonus opportunities
