Christian Macellari has over 19 years working in the banking and finance industry where he has held roles in the Institutional Middle Markets Fixed Income Group at Morgan Stanley as well as having worked at Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan in various capacities. Christian has advised Developers, Project Sponsors, and Real Estate Private Equity firms providing capital and project advisory services as well as Debt/Structured Finance capital placement services. He provided advice to Project Sponsors on capital structures and valuable balance sheet management techniques resulting in enhanced project-level returns for his clients.
Sponsors have relied on Christian’s expertise in structuring debt in order to find the right financing partners for their projects, including complex projects requiring alternative lending sources such as Private Credit and Private Equity. As part of his role, his clients relied on his ability to analyze trends in real estate as well as to model financials for acquisition and financing transactions for his clients. Christian has relied on his resources both in the capital markets as well as in the credit risk insurance markets to execute transactions, often both advising on capital structure as well as placing structured credit transactions.
Christian graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Psychology and a double minor in Finance and Italian and is currently a Masters in Real Estate candidate at Georgetown University. Christian is fluent in Spanish, Italian, and proficient in Dutch. He enjoys spending time with his 18-month-old daughter and boating, fishing and cycling whenever possible.
