Brian Ford is a co-founder of Capstone and has served as managing partner of the firm since its inception in 2008. He has led Capstone’s growth and expansion in opening 12 additional regional offices within the last seven years, as well as launching Capstone’s Land Sales, Manufactured Housing, and Equity Solutions divisions. Today, Capstone serves markets in more than 35 states, has over $5 billion in transaction volume, and is the largest privately owned multi-family brokerage firm nationwide.
Brian began his career in commercial real estate in 2004. Over the course of his career, Brian has brokered over $1 billion of multi-family transactions in various markets across the Carolinas and greater Southeast. Outside of Capstone, Brian has been involved in various ownership capacities in a variety of multi-family development projects, investments, and asset transactions totaling over $350 million of value.
Brian sits on the board of State Maintenance of America and led the launch of Capstone Cares, Capstone’s 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has raised nearly $100,000 benefiting Homes For Our Troops, Crossnore, YMCA, Charlotte Family Housing, JDRF, and more. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Theatre Charlotte, as President of the Mint Museum’s Young Affiliate Group, and on the President’s Young Leaders Council at Elon University. Brian earned a degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the Love School of Business at Elon University.
Brian enjoys playing golf, following his favorite Michigan sports teams, boating with his 2 dogs, and spending time with his wife, Heather, and their 1-year-old daughter, Isabella.
