Capstone Closes $14.9 Million Sale of 144-Unit Apartment Asset in Greenville, SC

GREENVILLE, SC—Capstone Apartment Partners has closed the $14.9 million sale of Woodwinds Apartment Homes: a 144-unit garden-style apartment asset. Situated in north Greenville, South Carolina, the community is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and adjacent to Furman University’s campus and golf course.

Capstone’s Austin Green, Alex McDermott, and Caleb Troop sold the property on behalf of Southwood Realty, who is based in Gastonia, North Carolina. The buyer is Indianapolis-based Pedcor, who plans to complete upgrades to the community and push rents through new leases and renewals.

“Woodwinds is a well-positioned asset with room for growth, both organically and through Pedcor’s plan to enhance amenities and unit finishes,” said Green.

Built in 1975, Woodwinds Apartment Homes is comprised of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes with fully equipped kitchens, washer/dryer connections, walk-in closets, and a patio or balcony. Community amenities include a swimming pool, laundry facilities, and picnic/grilling area. Woodwinds was approximately 98% occupied at the time of closing.
